Celebrating a decade of Syrah ~ the 2014 Vintage
At the start, there are aromas of anise, dusty sugar, and blackberries. Next, flavors of spicy cardamom and anise, blackberry and dark cherries concentrate on the palate. The spice and fruit flavors develop to include earthy characteristics and extend the length and finish. The dominant feel of this Reserve Syrah is the lengthy tannins on the finish. This wine includes 51% whole cluster berries and was aged 9 months in 37% new French oak. To experience its full complexity, we recommend decanting this wine before serving.
