This flagship Pinot Noir is the core of our Pinot program at Johan Vineyards. With the wildfires in 2020, we took the opportunity to trial every production method possible to attempt to diversify our “risk” for any potential smoke impact that may have been lurking in the skins. This blend is the top 10 barrels of the entire vintage – the only red Pinot Noir we made for the year. It is a true expression of the vintage, not masked or altered by fining agents, filtration, or fancy winemaking tools.
