Vinous brambly blackberry, blueberry, dusty wet river rocks, notions of dried thyme, and faraway vanilla beans come out of the glass. With a little time, this well-preserved wine opens up with aromas of red plum and raspberry, rock salt and a bit of lavender. Sturdy tannins are immediately apparent in the mouth, with a pleasant crunch and a pronounced depth, supported by plush and concentrated inky phenolics that guide the experience well out to the finish.
