The Spiral is a thoughtfully composed blend of our estate’s white varieties: Viognier, Marsanne, and Roussanne. Its aim is to present the freshest expression of each selection, woven together with bright aromatics and a lively, acid-driven mouthfeel.
Although modest in size, our Viognier blocks are planted across a diverse range of soils and microclimates. The 2023 Viognier was whole-cluster pressed, then fermented and aged in mostly neutral oak barriques with a couple of new French oak puncheons.
Our estate GSM is a vintage snapshot of the red varieties planted across our vineyard. Each cultivar is fermented and aged separately in mostly neutral French oak, using natural methods with only minimal sulfur additions.
Johan Vineyard is the only other vineyard from which Cowhorn receives fruit, aside from our own. Owned and managed by the same family as Cowhorn, we consider it, in essence, our second estate vineyard. Our goal is to craft a Pinot Noir from this exceptional Willamette Valley site in our own style and with clear intention, having selected specific vineyard parcels that inspire us. We collaborate on farming decisions, determine the optimal pick dates, and transport the fruit to Cowhorn, where the wine is made.
The 2022 Reserve Viognier endeavors to encompass the most elegant and timeless expression of this noble variety from our site. With a balance of ripe citrus and stone fruits aromas, subtle and alluring floral notes, it possesses an unique energy, depth and a lasting memorable finish.
Every vintage, we attempt to assemble a small bottling of Syrah from throughout our vineyard that most expresses the potential of this unique site: a Syrah with intriguing dark fruit, enticing floral highs and rich savory aromatic undertones, and a mouthful that balances weight and finesse.

Within minutes in the glass, luminous black raspberry, dark strawberry, purple plum, pomegranate molasses, and subtle smoke-cured meat come into focus. Naturally built for age, this Syrah has plush sturdy tannins, with bright lingering acidity.
