At the start, there are aromas of anise, dusty sugar, and blackberries. Next, flavors of spicy cardamom and anise, blackberry and dark cherries concentrate on the palate.
Every vintage, we attempt to assemble a small bottling of Syrah from throughout our vineyard that most expresses the potential of this unique site: a Syrah with exceptional purity of fruit, textural depth, vivid acidity, exceptional length, and the promise of aging thoughtfully.
Our 2021 Reserve Viognier is a satisfying balance of energy, weight and delicacy. We find aromas of honeysuckle and jasmine, vanilla bean, ripe lemons, confectioners sugar, herbs, and stones. There is a pleasant symmetry between refreshing acidity and layers of lush polished tannins.
The aromas of this dark wine are of violets, dark plum, wild huckleberry, fine cacao, and grilled meats. Ripe red cherries, raspberries and plums evolve in the glass, with subtle mahogany, sage, and vanilla to accompany.
This vintage was pressed whole cluster and then fermented and aged in primarily neutral French oak barrels and a large concrete egg. The glass fills with aromas of sea mist, evening jasmine, subtle perfume, ripe lemon, tangerine twists, and white nectarine.
Our estate GSM is a vintage snapshot of the red varieties planted across our vineyard. Aromas of raspberry, cherry, and currant, pop from the glass, opening to scents of bay laurel, sage, dried cranberry, hibiscus and crisp early rhubarb.
Our Grenache is energized by the acidity and tannins afforded by our cool summer mornings. With aromas of cherry, raspberry, rhubarb, dusty saddle leather, and citrus zests this wine is thoughtful and lively, with a sweet fruited density.
Lavish honeycomb, ripe white peach and apricot, summer flowers and grasses, and a touch of crème anglaise and baking spice. Texturally, this wine is plush, with considerable breadth and depth, and structured velvet tannins.
This wine offers aromas of ripe red plum, red cassis, white pepper, herbs de Provence, and dried blueberries, with a firm but sweetly textured mouthfeel. The palate continues with an array of red summer berries, cacao nibs, and dried crushed flowers.
